The world opened up to me when I studied abroad. I enjoyed finishing my degree in London, and I discovered my passion for travel, art history, and architecture. Living in England and Ireland before teaching—and traveling throughout Europe over the past 30 years—gave me the opportunity to paint and exhibit my work internationally. I have long admired artists for their ability to express ideas and convey meaning through art.”
As the Fine Arts Department Chair, Kelly Vallely engages with students, colleagues, and families to build community and promote creative/artistic experiences at Valley School. She is an accomplished oil painter who concentrates on landscapes and portraiture. As a veteran educator, she encourages her students to explore, nurture, apply, and share their creativity with others as they develop their own unique artistic gifts.
