Mary Mehala

Ms. Mary Mehala comes to Valley School of Ligonier amid a highly successful career in independent education. Before starting as the Head of Finance and Operations at Valley School, she served for four years as the Director of Finance and Operations at Greene Street Friends School in Philadelphia. Mary was introduced to Valley School through her work as a member of our PAIS accreditation committee. Throughout her visit, she was struck by the strength and poignancy of our Core Values, especially Cultivating Wellness, which she sees as a critical proactive, holistic, and lifelong endeavor. When her two daughters graduated from college last year, Mary found herself in a moment of opportunity and reached out about the upcoming vacancy in our Business Office. Her professional and academic background (BA in International Business Administration from the American University of Paris and MBA from Strayer University) makes her a perfect fit for Valley School.

 

Having been a part of the Lead Administration team at Valley School for a year now, Mary looks forward to this new chapter of personal development and fulfillment- as well as professional evolution. Mary is also a lover of the arts- written, performing, and culinary- and is inspired by nature as part of her creative pursuits. She is excited to participate in regional theater and become an active member of our school and local community.
